To Resonate

Keiko Takahashi

Mind and Reality Are One

Many of you in Japan may be feeling renewed as a new fiscal year begins this month.

Our reality of life is inseparably linked to our mind. Our mind and our reality are one, the mind and reality are the same thing. What do you think this means?

It means that the two are inseparable and a single entity like two sides of a coin.

Reality A is with Mind A. Reality B is with Mind B. Reality A cannot be produced by Mind B, nor can Reality B be produced by Mind A.

In other words, if we have different minds, we will create different realities.

For this reason, a change in our mind causes a change in reality. And if our reality changes, we can always find the change in our mind.

When we aspire to do something and draw Blueprints1 for it, we must pay attention to what kind of state of mind we should prepare.

If we wish to create a specific reality and bring about such a situation, we must prepare our mind so that it is worthy of it. When we have attained the mind that matches reality, we can actualize the Blueprint.

Our Mind Is a Tuning Fork That Emits Resonating Sounds

What do you think it means to have a mind worthy of the Blueprint?

It means that we have a mind that can resonate with the Blueprint. When our mind resonates with the Blueprint and is attuned to the laws of cosmic nature, we are ready and are heading toward the realization of the Blueprint.

To resonate with the Blueprint . . . . Its essence is difficult to put into words. It is not something we can do even if we want to.

However, we can do so if we discover the Blueprint that has been entrusted to the situation, empathize with its magnificence, and sincerely aspire to realize it while accumulating actions that are aligned with the laws of cosmic nature. When we go through this process, it is no exaggeration to say that we are fully prepared for resonating with the Blueprint.

We are like tuning forks that emit resonating sounds in all directions. The energy of each person’s words and actions spreads out into the world while having a specific frequency.

Just as resonance occurs when tuning forks that have the same frequency are brought close together, things with the same frequency will resonate of their own accord.

In the same way, when we are ready and on the same frequency as the Blueprint, our mind resonates with it and embraces the decisive power to make it a reality.

The Law of Resonance Creates the Future

When we try to realize a Blueprint, we must “resonate” with its essence to make it a reality.

“Resonance” and “empathy” are similar but not the same. Resonance is more distant from what we are conscious of and a state where arbitrary things such as one’s feelings and thoughts are excluded. It is described as a “propagation of the spiritual state” rather than one’s conscious actions.

Once we resonate with the Blueprint, we will never forget it and never stop thinking about it. We come to continuously look for ways to achieve it.

Resonance goes beyond realizing the Blueprint. If we wish to truly understand what someone is saying, it is absolutely necessary to “resonate” with this person’s statement.

Furthermore, if we aspire to inherit the essence of the Divine Truth, it also becomes essential to “resonate” with it.

Without “resonance,” it is difficult to live, acquire, or pass on anything accurately.  In order to truly understand, absorb, embody, and share the core of all things, the condition of “resonance” is indispensable.

Our future should be explored on the basis of the Law of Resonance. I cannot help but hope that the way of life based on the Study of the Soul2 will spread through the principle of resonance, rather than be just a superficial trend.

Editor’s Note

1. Blueprint

Originally, a blueprint is referred to as plans showing how to build something, such as a building or a machine. From there, it has come to refer to diagrams or plans for just about anything or for diagrams of the future that ought to be. It is the reality that we seek to realize and aspire to achieve. In the Study of the Soul, the term is also imbued with the meanings of the Idea (ideal form) hidden in all things and the promise made with the Great Existence, with God. 2. Study of the Soul

The Study of the Soul is a system of theory and practice in which we seek a way of life by connecting the visible and invisible dimensions. In contrast to the Study of Phenomena, which science represents by dealing with the materialistic dimension, the Study of the Soul goes beyond that, dealing comprehensively with the materialistic dimension and the invisible dimension of the Mind and Soul. That is a principle that I have discovered from intensive studies of human beings and the individual life journeys of the many people whom I have met. By looking at the Soul, Mind, and Reality as a whole, we observe human beings and hope to respond to every possible occasion.
