Sensei's Current Activity

January 20, 2019, Kinki New Year Gathering (Osaka International Convention Center; broadcast live to two other locations in Japan)

In this year of 2019, we are transitioning from the Showa and Heisei eras to a new era. In the midst of this transition, how can we strive to create a truly affluent and happy life for ourselves?

I believe the key is to discover the life that is exclusively “made to order” for each of us.

True affluence is not something you judge by comparing yourself to others. Each of us must pursue and implement our own unique affluence.

What is important here is to understand that unique affluence is not about being self-satisfied or complacent. A “made to order” life is, in other words, the “best life” for that person.

The best life. That is to be your own “best self.” You live your own unique “best life” as your “best self,” and those around you will also see you as your “best self.”

But that is not the life you are leading at this moment—it is beyond this life. It is your potential life that is not yet known to you.

For each of us to create our own unique “made to order” life, we need to understand that “made to order” means that this life is unique and only ours.

How do you create your own life, how should you live the life you have right here and now, and where is your life going? your life here and where does it go? Is it not apparent that we need the wisdom to be able to view as a whole, our past, present, and future lives?

Every life is different. There are around 3,000 people here. Your faces are different, and each of you is on a different life path, one that could be “made to order” just for you.

To know your past is the Study of the Past. To know you present, is the Study of the Present. And to know your future is the Study of the Future. It is from these perspectives that we must strive to view our whole life.

Today, I would like to talk about these three ABC’s of life.
